Hand washed, finished in a studio.

A full pre-rinse and a thick foam to take the grit off before a mitt goes near the paint. Once the car is dry it comes inside, under LED bars, where the decontamination and the protection happen in a controlled environment.

The whole exterior, not just the panels. Wheels, jambs, glass and trim.

Wheels come off where it is warranted, jambs and badges are purged with filtered air, and the paint is decontaminated before anything protective goes near it.

Pre-rinse and foam

High-pressure rinse, then a snow-foam soak that dwells long enough to lift grit off the panel before a mitt touches it.

Two-bucket hand wash

pH-neutral shampoo, grit guards, and separate mitts for upper panels, lower panels and wheels. Nothing that touches the sills touches the roof.

Iron, tar and clay

Fallout remover across every panel, tar solvent on the lower thirds, then the clearcoat planed by hand with clay where it is needed.

Protection and final check

Sealant, wax or coating prep chosen for how the car lives, then back under the LED bars, panel by panel.

Not every car. Just the right ones.

A good exterior detail can't be rushed, so we don't take every job. We spend the hours on the pre-rinse and the decontamination so the paint is properly cleaned and protected.

Every car gets the same walk-around, the same process and the same crew.

Colorado is hard on exteriors.

Winter mag chloride is corrosive and works into every seam and shut line. Summer brings fresh chip seal and tar. UV at altitude oxidizes unprotected clearcoat every month of the year.

None of it shows on day one. It shows a year later, when two identical cars look nothing alike, and the difference is entirely down to whether anyone was decontaminating and protecting the paint.

Judged on the finish. Their words, not ours.

★★★★★
“Coated my car two summers ago. It has sat through two years and the paint still beads water like day one. Worth every dollar.”

“They photographed every stage and walked me through the paint depth readings before they touched it. No upsell, no guessing. Just straight answers.”

Common questions. Exterior detailing.

Not answered here? Call (720) 770-7063 or bring the car by our shop on Dahlia Street.

How long does an exterior detail take?

Most of a day, and longer if the car has not been properly decontaminated in years or it is being combined with an interior detail. One technician per car, so nothing is queued behind yours.

Is this the same as paint correction?

No. This cleans, decontaminates and protects. Correction physically removes defects from the clearcoat, and if the paint is genuinely swirled we will tell you that instead.

Can I have this and a coating in the same visit?

Yes, and it is the right sequence. Everything here happens before the coating prep. Tell us at booking so we allocate the time.

How often should it be done?

Two or three times a year for a car that lives outside, less for a garaged weekend car. Winter here is the reason for the higher number.

Do you offer a mobile service?

No. Controlled light, filtered air and proper water are not things you can bring to a driveway, and without them the result is not the same.
